About Alonzo Bodden:

Alonzo, who won Season 3 of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” is a regular on NPR’s “Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!” and “Comedy Congress.” He’s also a recurring commentator / panelist on “The Young Turks.” His multiple stand-up comedy specials include “Heavy Lightweight” (2019, Amazon Prime), “Historically Incorrect” (2016, Showtime), and “Who’s Paying Attention” (2011, Showtime). In 2019, Alonzo also appeared on Comedy Central’s stand-up and music series, “The New Negroes” (S1, E5: Self Care).

In between stand-up and acting, the veteran comic hosts a weekly podcast on All Things Comedy titled “Who’s Paying Attention?” where fans can hear his irreverent, humorous, and no-holds barred observations on everything from the presidential race and the current political climate to sports and pop culture. Alonzo has made the late show rounds, including appearances on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn” and “The D.L. Hughley Show.” He annually performs at Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal – where he has participated in multiple tv specials, including “Howie Mandel’s All-Star Comedy Gala” (2017, 2020) and “Trevor Noah at JFL” (2019). Alonzo is a regular feature at LA’s popular The Laugh Factory comedy club and also frequents popular comedy podcasts, including The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE).

An avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, Alonzo has hosted Speed Channel’s “101 Cars You Must Drive” and Travel Channel’s “America’s Worst Driver.” He’s also appeared on multiple episodes of “Jay Leno’s Garage.”

His TV and film credits include “Fresh Off the Boat,” “Californication,” “Scary Movie 4,” “The Girl Next Door” and “Bringing Down the House,” starring Steve Martin and Queen Latifah.

Alonzo has traveled around the world entertaining USO troops from Iraq to Greenland.
